Happy Valentine's Day! January was nice and mild and left us with time to spend outdoors and signs of spring popping up already. The Friends and Fiberworks Winter Retreat was great fun and we are now planning for the July Summer Retreat. I have added "Crochet Design Secrets" and "Continental Knitting" to my workshop line-up and the schedule will be posted soon.

This month brings our Arrowhead Artisans Valentine Show and Sale at the Old Fort Train Depot on February 4. On the 5th. and 11th. a group of knitters and crocheters are putting together donated squares into blankets for the Warm Up America project, sponsored by Michaels Arts and Crafts stores. My regular classes there continue on Wednesday mornings and evenings, so check your closest Michaels for classes and help with your yarn challenges. On February 25th. we will have a Frilly Flutter Scarf workshop at my Michaels store on Airport Road in Asheville. Flutter scarves will be created in both knit and crochet. On the 27th. we have the usual Sit, Knit and Crochet Circle. At the Yarn Nook in Candler Linda will host my  Tunisian Crochet and Lace Workshop on  February 13th.

So, no time to be bored or idle, grab your hooks and dream of spring................
